How to promote a beauty salon

It often happens that your client does not even know what the salon looks like inside and out. Take off the sign, the entrance, the good-natured faces at the reception.
My story of social media content writing services
began a little over two and a half years ago and since then, promotion on social media has been my main passion. She started her career, like many others, from freelancing, after that she worked with digital agencies, and for more than six months I have been leading my team.
During this time, I have worked with various businesses and personal brands. In SMM, I am interested in everything: from identifying the strategic goals and objectives of the client to personal interests, consisting in turning this account into an image tool that brings additional profit to the customer of services.
It is incredibly interesting to work with an aesthetically beautiful business: a stylistically consistent coffee shop, a florist, a photographer with an unusual creative look and, of course, those who create art in faces – masters of beauty. It’s like reading a fascinating book: there is always an interesting posting idea and the appropriate atmosphere for a high-quality and unusual photo that will be interesting to subscribers.
Where to start promoting a beauty salon on a social network?
It is quite possible to independently promote your salon on a social network. But at the same time, it is worth paying attention to aspects that can distinguish an account from others (your direct competitors) and bring you new grateful customers who can return again and again.
First of all, show the interior!
It often happens that your client does not even know what the salon looks like inside and out. Take off the sign, the entrance, the good-natured faces at the reception. Give the client a photo or video – a tour of the salon, show the details, surrounding him with attention and beauty at the very beginning of meeting you. In working with the beauty salon “Dolores”, we were primarily guided by this principle.
Your face is your masters
Recently I read the book “Endorphins of Beauty” which describes in detail this topic and the leading role of employees in business.
And how can you argue with that? The success of any salon depends on people, personal branding. Tell as much as possible about your team, about those personalities who create beauty. People buy from people, want to see people and read about them. Give them this information!
It is also important, in my opinion, to promote the accounts of your masters. Provide links to the profiles of the masters in the posts of the salon, follow what is happening in the personal accounts of employees. Create content – a plan according to which team members will post about the salon on their profile. Do not forget that your prospect’s decision making when choosing a salon depends on such details in the first place.
Make accents!
In a private beauty workshop, we used the principle of dividing into 3 columns while planning our instagram posting services, focusing on the central one, in which there were changes in the price list, an advertisement for the search for models or hot promotions. The text visually attracts and things that were relevant at one time or another were not left without attention.
Reviews and mentions in the format of reposts or screenshots
Say what you like, but they help to launch word of mouth. And they work best in SMM. However, as practice has shown, not everyone writes reviews at the behest of the soul.
Ask in advance and give a nice little gift
Reward with bonuses, for example, as a discount on salon visits. And don’t be afraid to be intrusive. This is how you get win-win: a satisfied (and, possibly, permanent) client or partner and his friends interested in your service.
Build a customer base on social media
At the end of your visit to your salon, ask to fill out a short questionnaire indicating a profile in one or more social networks. Subscribe and periodically comment on customer records, increase loyalty.
Summing up
In my opinion, the above tips are the basis for building a high-quality interaction with your client through social networks. If you are doing what you love and at the same time are the head of the salon, write about it.
Of course, first of all, a sincere interest in a person is important. Not an attempt to sell head-on, but a sincere belief that a product or service from your salon can make someone happier.
